Welcome to the East Grinstead Community First Responders home page.



East Grinstead Community First Responders are a team of local residents who volunteer our spare time to respond to selected 999 calls within our local area, covering Lingfield, Dormansland, West hoathly, Sharpthorne, Turners Hill, Ashurst Wood and Forest Row. We work alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service to provide as much cover as possible and aim to respond to category A 999 calls within 8 minutes. The first few minutes in any cardiac arrest, stroke or heart attack are vital and a responder can reach a patient with life saving equipment quickly and often will arrive before an ambulance.
