Recruitment and training

We are often looking for new CFR's in the area. Factors such as where you live and whether it is a high priority area and also what time of the day and week you can book on will be factors the recruiters will consider
If you are interested in becoming a community first responder and would like to know more about the role before applying them contact us directly via the contact us email on here.  We will invite you along to our monthly meetings and you can have an informal chat with the team and provide more information on the recruitment process. 

Once you have decided you want to join the team, you should contact South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) direct via their jobs page. 
You do not need to have any previous medical experience as full training will be given and monthly refresher sessions are held with the team.
To apply you must be:
Aged 18 or over
Hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points
Be able to commit to a 2 weekend training course
Able to commit to monthly training and discussion sessions
Be able to respond regularly, at least an average of 5 hours a week
Be extremely trustworthy and able to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
