News and compliments

We do not do the CFR role to look for thanks, helping our community is reward enough but sometimes their is a realisation that we do the role as volunteers and this often prompts a thank you letter from patient or family members.  Everyone likes a pat on the back and to get recongintion for what can be incredibly difficult call outs adds to the motivation to support the community, we know we can make a difference, now the community is learning the value of these volunteers too.

For obvious reasons we aren't able to share personal details from patient feedback but here are some extracts from just a few of the thank you messages the team have recieved.

Neil was sent to attend a young patient which turned out to be one of the most difficult the volunteer team have had to deal with.  It is a huge credit to him that despite the outcome not ultimately being what anyone would have wanted the family still wanted to thank all involved for the role they played.

"I am writing to thank the team who attended my son. . . . . . They worked so hard and I know how difficult this must have been for all those involved . . . . . I know they went above and beyond. . . . . .We know that he had an amazing team working on him to give him the best chance there could have been to survive."

We thank this patients mother for recognising the work the paid and volunteer ambulance staff did to help her son.

Hi Sam,

Thank you so much for such a great session this evening at Felbridge Village Hall.  It was a really useful and effective presentation.  Sitting at the back i could see how different points you made were being taken on board by those attending.

We really do appreciate you giving up your time to help raise awareness so thanks to you all.

Kind Regards,

Clerk to Felbridge Parish Council

"I just wanted to say thank you to the First Responder who came to help me when I fainted in Sainsbury's car park yesterday. I'm sorry that I don't remember your name, but I am very grateful for your help." This was Catherine that attended this patient.

"Sam Thankyou so much for attending to me last night . I had never had something so painful. The work you do is fantastic and is hugely appreciated.  I will certainly be spreading the word about you guys and the excellent service you provide our community with. Many thanks once again."

"Please forward my thanks to Sam and all at the East Grinstead First Responders for a very prompt response to my 999 call. I suffered a heart attack at home and due to your prompt attention and that of the ambulance crew, now on the mend following a Quad bypass a week later at St Georges."
